Mirror Matrix Technology - Isolated Cannabis Terpenes and Profiles

The isolation of cannabis terpenes is very rare. There are hundreds of sources for isolated botanical terpenes but non-cannabis terpenes are very different than terpenes that are derived from hemp/canna plant material. Cannabis terpenes are organic compounds that are responsible for the distinct aroma and flavor of various cannabis strains. These compounds are also believed to have therapeutic effects and contribute to the overall medicinal benefits of cannabis. There are several methods used to extract cannabis terpenes, including steam distillation, hydrodistillation, cold trapping, cryo-curing, pressing and solvent extraction.

Steam distillation is one of the most common methods used to extract terpenes from cannabis. This process involves heating the plant material with steam, which causes the terpenes to vaporize. The vapor is then condensed and collected in a separate container. Steam distillation is a gentle method that preserves the natural flavor and aroma of the terpenes. The problem with steam extraction is that many other compounds are also pulled from the plant at the same time. Residual cannabinoids, flavonoids and other phyco-chemicals will be party of the slurry. The main reason cannabis terpenes have not been more retally used is that they come with a lot of unwanted matter. The breakthroughs recently invented to fraction and isolate terpenes allows for the optimal use of the extracted material.

The process of fractioning a slurry of extracted material allows for the unwanted material to be removed from the desired compounds. Once the compounds are fractioned they can be purified and isolated to over 99% concentration. The isolated terpenes can then be combined into specific formulas that match the exact profile in a fully bloomed plant. This process s called "Mirror Matrix Technology". It is where we are able to recreate the exact terpene profile with isolated cannabis terpenes.

Another way we use to extract terpenes for use with our Mirror Matrix technology is Hydrodistillation. Hydrodistillation is similar to steam distillation, but it uses water instead of steam. This method is often used to extract essential oils from plants and is particularly useful for extracting terpenes that are less volatile than others.

Solvent extraction involves using a solvent, such as butane or ethanol, to dissolve the terpenes from the plant material. The resulting solution is then filtered to remove any impurities and evaporated to leave behind a concentrated extract. This method can be more efficient than steam distillation or hydrodistillation but may also result in a less pure slurry. This is why it is so important to utilize the fractioning and isolation technology to remove the unwanted material.

Mirror Matrix Technology allows for exact terpene profiles to be recreated from 100% hemp and cannabis terpenes. The same ratios will be present in the formula every time. No other company has access to this patented, proprietary technology or intellectual property of the strain profiles. Nano Cove is the only source for these terpenes and profiles.
